Join me as we find your eye for design, look at the elements of graphic design, and learn how you can create engaging, high-quality resources for your students!

Description: Canva is one of the most user-friendly website applications I have used for resource design. And, it's FREE for educators! In this workshop, we establish your educator account and explore all that Canva has to offer in its features and templates. You will be thoroughly inspired with all the classroom and curriculum resource possibilities we find!

Description: The Google Suite for Education includes many helpful applications to use in the classroom. In this in-depth session, we will explore Google Classroom and features such as creating a classroom, adding students, creating an assignment, customizing the classroom header, adding a rubric to an assignment, practice sets, and more.

Description: Most educators have some kind of online platform or website through which they communicate with parents, post newsletters, or share pictures. But what if we turned that website into a hub of information and resources that could be used in the classroom and at home - for students and parents?! Join me as we give your website a "glow-up" by creating an individual theme on Google Sites, building your pages, and adding unique resources for students. We will also be pulling in unique designs from other sources to make your website pop!

Description: When you’re scrolling on your phone, glancing at pictures and advertisements, what makes you stop? It’s good graphic design. Our students are now learning and growing in a world that is constantly grabbing their attention visually. This new reality changes the way that teachers must approach the way we design educational resources. Join us as we learn the basics of graphic design! Our discussion will focus on all of the components of design from beginning to end. We’ll learn how to plan intentionally, incorporate graphics, fonts, and images in a visually appealing way, and export our designs to share with others. Canva will be the main platform of design, however we will reference other user-friendly websites. Teachers will leave feeling inspired and equipped to design educational resources in a new way.

Description: I'm sure you've heard of Canva… but did you know that in Canva, you can set up a brand, magic write on a document, and generate new images? We'd tell you more, but we can't give away all our secrets in the promo! Join us for a fast-paced, engaging session exploring some of the lesser known features, things we like to call the "hidden gems," of the user-friendly platform. These highlighted features include personalizing the menu, finding templates, implementing apps, magic writing, image generating, editing text and elements, branding, social media content planning, and more! Attendees will be introduced to 10 next-level tricks any educator can use and given time to dabble. Please note: While newbies and experts are welcome, this session is designed for our friends who have previously explored Canva and are looking to take their skills to the next level.
